Happy Halloween

Well we have officially tortured our last child with the Dumbo Costume. I couldn't resist buying it when Wayne was a baby for his first Halloween. Little did I know then that it would be used for 4 more boys!! They have all hated it, but we have loved every minute :) I love everything from the ears, to the tail, to the little extra chub in the tummy it adds! Ashley said that Bruce may have made the best Dumbo yet with those cheeks!!

Wayne and Austin cheated a little by just being baseball players, but hey less work for me!! Wayne has his game face on and Austin just wanted to be silly :)

Although, Wayne didn't totally get off the hook. He did have to dress up as a Zombie for the snake parade at school. But, was way too cool for school to say, "hi" to his mom!! He was also too embarrassed to be a zombie for Halloween without the support of 30 other classmates so he took a shower when he got home from school to remove the zombie makeup. Then he suited up for the evening ;)

Austin is with his best little buddy Michael. Austin is a baseball player and Michael is a school kid--both incredibley creative!!

And this right here was the main reason I went to the snake parade at Towne Meadows...Luke!! Look how excited he is once he recognizes that I am in the audience watching him as he takes his turn in the parade. What a precious boy :) I know they were all happy I was there even though the older two are too cool to admit it!

Once the older boys got home from school Luke had to relinquish the Thor costume to Brett for the evening. It was their compromise since they both wanted to wear it!!
Luke was actually pretty excited that he got to be Thor and Buzz Light Year all in the same day!! What else could a little boys ask for??!!

We stopped by Grandma Beanie's house on the way to Ashley's but we missed her :(

Once we got to Ashley's house we of course had to make the kids pose for a photo-op before trick-or-treating!! That's the best part of Halloween for parents...that and stealing the best candy from their buckets when they're not looking!!

Bruce was of course the focal point of my camera for the evening. I took so many pictures in that costume! These are some of my favorites :)

Larry parked his sweet car (that all the boys are in love with) on the street. It didn't take much convincing from Mike and Ashley though to get him to move it to the driveway and out of the line of fire from all the trick-or-treaters ;)

We finally got around to the actual trick-or-treating :) We had quite the crew, people were wondering what was going on in front of Ashley's house as we were getting all the kids loaded up in strollers and suited up with buckets. They thought for sure there was a big party going on and then realized it was just our "little" crew!
Katie's twins were so cute dressed up as Thing 1 and Thing 2!

Superman!! (Dalton did not want to pose for a picture, but I got him!!)
These two are a little too excited about all this free candy!!
There were a few highlights of the trick-or-treating. Mike knew that a friend of his was waiting in the garage of his house in a mask to jump out and scare trick-or-treaters as he saw fit. So Mike gathered all the kids and told them that there was a Halloween monster who lived on the street. He told them that the monster only comes out on Halloween night and it was in one of the houses. So cautiously, our band of trick-or-treaters went up the drive way to collect their candy. As the got close to the garage the "monster" jumped out and scared them! They scattered like flies! Brett was across the street in record time!! It was so funny! The older kids got brave enough to try and collect candy again and as they approached the monster revved up a chain saw from inside the garage and they all took off running again!

On the next street, the kids also got brave enough to walk through a "Haunted House" in another neighbor's yard. It was pretty creepy. Brett wasn't worried about going through it but just as he was about to go through the opening there was a really creepy, evil laugh and he took off running again! He decided that he wanted to go through it with Daddy and he was telling me all about it when they got out!
There was also a house that was not only giving out candy but they were grilling and passing out hot dogs to anyone who wanted one!!

They were of course excited to see Grandma when we got back to Ashley's house :) Great night, too much sugar and LOTS of fun!!
