Word of mouth spread that the Angel Moroni Statue was going on top of the Gilbert Temple at 2pm today so I pulled the boys out of school and we went down there to watch 110 degrees and all! It was hot, but such a wonderful experience to walk to the temple from Mom's house and view this mile stone in the construction of the temple. We are so grateful to have this sacred building going up so close to my mom's house! Austin was pretty sure that he was going to roast and turn into a hot dog in the heat. I kept singing the song to him, "Pioneer children sang as they walked and walked and walked..." He finally said, "I don't want to be a pioneer child?!" He was really excited about attending. He made sure to bring his video camera to capture it himself :) The crazy part was that we ended up in the pictures for the online East Valley Tribune article covering the event!
