Storm Playoff Game #1

Wayne's team won their first playoff game of the post season! They advance to the semi-finals on Friday! Go STORM!!


Here's the recap for the game:

Resh hits and pitches Storm to 8-7 victory

Josh Resh powered Storm at the plate and on the mound Tuesday, willingStorm to a 8-7 victory over Owlz.

Resh racked up three RBIs on one hit for Storm. He singled in the first inning.

Owlz couldn't get anything going as long as Resh was pitching. Resh gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out six during his three innings of work.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

Storm pulled out the win thanks to a strong third inning. A passed ball scoredWayne Dunn and gave Storm the lead for good. A passed ball scored Dunnto give Storm the lead for good.

In the top of the first, Owlz grabbed the early lead, 3-0. Owlz's rally started when Ethan Linn doubled. Dominic Armijo tripled, plating Kamron Morris and Linn. More runs came home for Owlz when Armijo scored on an RBI single by Marc Jacobsen.

Storm quickly matched Owlz's strong inning with a three-run inning of its own in the first. Storm scored on a two-run single by Resh and an RBI single by Carter Marshall.

Storm never surrendered the lead after the third inning. The runs piled on thanks to a two-run single by Gavin Postert and a bases loaded walk by Armijo.

Storm added one more run in the bottom of the fourth when Gavin McKinnonstole home.

After pushing across three runs in the top of the fifth, Owlz faced just a 8-7 deficit. A passed ball, an RBI double by Armijo, and an RBI single by Jacobsen sparked Owlz's rally. Owlz's Brandon Leleo to end the ballgame.
